What do you LOVE MOST about dentistry?
“I love creating with my mind and body. I think it’s such a beautiful thing to see what can become of nothing by simply applying oneself fully. And to do it in the mouth, it’s truly an honor.”
When do you PERFORM YOUR BEST dentistry?
“It gives me such strength when a patient trusts that I’m looking-out for his or her best interest.”
What SOURCES do you use to make treatment decisions and RECOMMENDATIONS?
“For the last nine years, the Journal of the American Dental Association and Gorden Christensen’s Clinician’s Report have kept me abreast of the latest research and the most effective treatment methods. My team and I also attend regional seminars and exhibition halls to learn of the newest advancements in equipment and technology.”
What AGES DO YOU LIKE to treat?
“I love patients of all ages! It seems no matter the age I can always learn from every one of my patients. Most of the time, it’s things about dentistry, but sometimes it’s things about life. Those are my favorite.”
What have you LEARNED SINCE GRADUATING from Creighton University in Omaha, NE?
“The business of dentistry is complicated and in some cases, can be manipulated so that it is in contrast to the care dentistry provides. At Dr. B. Dentistry, there’s no manipulation. My husband, John, manages the financial office, and we pursue policies that protect our patients and team.”
What RELATIONSHIPS do you nourish outside the clinic? Besides the business pillow-talk with John, that is?
“Ha ha, isn’t that so true! I hang out with my two daughters (ages 7 and 4). We share a dance class, make trips to the library, and play pretend. Sometimes our parents, siblings and friends (who have kids) visit, too.”
